The REAL Enemy

Comrades, in regards to yesterday's post, today I'd like to talk about the REAL enemy of the White Working class. The names listed yesterday, they are the REAL enemy. The big time Jewish bankers and financiers, their Gentile Judeo-Capitalist allies, and their political puppets, both Jewish and non-Jewish.

The Jews who run the local deli or dry cleaners are not our enemy. I don't particularly like or trust them either, but I've found for the most part that all they really want is to make a living and get along with everyone. It's the Bernankes, the Gates, the Rockafellers, et al that we have to worry about. They are the ones sucking the blood of the workers. Their traitorous non-Jewish allies like Obama, Biden, and all the other corrupt politicians and non-Jewish businessmen. As a matter of fact, if you check the names of all the bankers, financiers, big business men, and politicians, both elected and appointed, you will find that the majority of them are non-Jewish, which actually is even worse. These greedy SOBs are traitors to their own people, and are often hard to see for what they really are. On the other hand, a Jew can't help being born a Jew, and they are usually (but not always) easy to spot. Personally, I never hold a man accountable for his race, any more than I would allow them to hold me responsible for mine. A person, any person is responsible for his own actions, and no one else, and that is what I hold people accountable for.

So the next time you or someone you know is thinking about going down to Temple Beth Whatever and painting a few Swastikas, remember that aside from that being a criminal action which the ANP strongly opposes, the chances are that the majority of those Jews are just average Joes - I mean average Shmoes, just trying to get along without offending anyone.

From now on, concentrate on the real enemy, and not some poor schlameel who just happens to be of the same race.

Who Runs The Federal Reserve System?

The seven members of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, a PRIVATELY owned corporation, are nominated by the President and confirmed by the Senate. A full term is fourteen years. One term begins every two years, on February 1 of even-numbered years. A member who serves a full term may not be reappointed. A member who completes an unexpired portion of a term may be reappointed. All terms end on their statutory date regardless of the date on which the member is sworn into office.

The Chairman and the Vice Chairman of the Board are named by the President from among the members and are confirmed by the Senate. They serve a term of four years. A member's term on the Board is not affected by his or her status as Chairman or Vice Chairman.

These are the people who decide what interest rates will be, and how much money will be printed. They print whatever money they feel is necessary, despite the fact that the U.S. Constitution clearly states that only Congress shall have that power. It says nothing about the Congress being able to contract those duties to a private corporation.

Comrades, this is hard evidence of who controls the majority of the world's finances. The Rothschild Banking Cartel alone controls nearly two thirds of the wealth of the world. The next time someone calls you a paranoid Anti-Semite, shove these lists in their face and see what they say. I know what they'll say. "It's all a coincidence that the financial controllers of the world are Jewish. No one planned it. It just happened that way by chance." Yeah, right. And if they're that gullible, tell them I have a few bridges I'd like to sell.

Economy Improves For Judeo-Capitalists - But Not The Workers

The Fed sees short-term inflation pressures but insists longer-term trends are stable. But silver and gold prices surge. Amazon.com shares soar.

The economy is still too weak to start raising interest rates from record-low levels, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said today. That was music to Wall Street's ears, and stocks and commodities moved up in late-afternoon trading.

Unemployment is too high and too many people are suffering ill effects for from being out of work for six months or more, Bernanke said. While the Fed agrees inflation is rising, longer-term trends are stable.

That's why the Fed hasn't pushed interest rates higher. If the trends worsen, however, the Bernanke said, he could see the Fed moving to quell the pressures. But he conceded, rising gas prices are "absolutely a lot of financial hardship for families."

The Dow Jones industrials ($INDU) closed up 96 points to 12,691. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index ($INX) was up 8 points to 1,356, and the Nasdaq Composite Index ($COMPX) had added 22 points to 2,870, powered in part by Amazon.com's (AMZN) record close of $196.63.

Bernanke's comments came at a first-ever news conference after the Fed said it would leave interest rates at record low levels for an extended period of time. And the central bank also agreed to continue its program of buying Treasury securities -- a program meant to boost the economy -- until its scheduled finish in June.

Most analysts read the Fed's insistence that longer-term inflation trends as stable as a signal the central bank sees little or no wage inflation on the horizon. Critics and traders, however, saw the Fed's position as allowing more attacks on the dollar, which moved to its lowest levels since the summer of 2008.

The Treasury purchasing program, known as Quantitative Easing 2, was started to help the economy rise up after the Great Recession.

The Fed left the target on its key federal funds rate at 0% to 0.25% and expects the target will remain at "exceptionally low levels" for an extended period. The Fed said it will complete its $600 billion program to buy in Treasury securities.

All members of the Federal Open Market Committee, the Fed's rate-making body, voted for the decision, including several members who have criticized QE2 in recent months.

Opponents of QE2, so-called because the Fed started another in 2009, have charged it has boosted prices for raw materials but has failed to boost employment substantially.

There was some concern that the central bank saw the economy "proceeding at a moderate place." After its March 15 meeting, the Fed said the economy was on "a firmer footing."

In a forecast released as Bernanke started to speak, the Fed cut its growth forecast for 2011 to 3.1% to 3.3%. In January, the Fed was projecting 3.4% to 3.9% growth.

The dollar was moved lower after the Fed decision, with the U.S. Dollar Index settling at 73.691, down 0.12 on the day and the lowest close since Aug. 4, 2008. The dollar index measures the dollar against a basket of currencies.

Commodity prices move higher

A lower dollar usually boosts prices for commodities priced in dollars -- like crude oil, gold, silver and copper. That happened today.

After the Fed announcement, gold moved higher and settled at a record $1,517.10 an ounce, up $13.60. Silver jumped 91 cents to $45.96 an ounce. It had hit as high as $46.22 an ounce. Copper was off 9.1 cents to $4.228 a pound.

Crude oil, meanwhile, was up 71 cents to $112.92 a barrel in electronic trading. The 10-year Treasury yield rose to $3.368% from 3.32% on Tuesday after an auction of 5-year notes were in line with estimates.

A bias to the upside for stocks

Twenty-three of the 30 Dow stocks were higher, led by General Electric (GE), up 3.3% to $20.76, and Verizon Communications (VZ), up 1.7% to $38.28.

Amazon.com was up was the top Nasdaq-100 ($NDX.X) performer and second among S&P 500 stocks. The company reported a 33% earnings decline in first-quarter profits but a 38% revenue increase. Seventy of the stocks in the index were higher.

Boeing (BA) shares were 0.8% higher at $76.12. The shares had been up as much as 2% after reporting earnings that beat Street estimates. But the stock price faded to as low as $75.05. One reason: Boeing's results were helped by a lower tax bill. Commercial plane revenue was flat.

Cisco Systems (CSCO) was the sold Dow loser on the day, down 1.9% to $17.19.

Most of the 30 raw-material producers in the S&P 500 retreated today, while 36 of 41 energy producers fell. Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold (FCX) lost 1.5% to $55.05 and ConocoPhillips (COP) slipped 2.6% to $79.11.

Exxon Mobil (XOM) reports results on Thursday, with Chevron (CVX) due on Friday. Both were lower today.

Savvis (SVVS) jumped 9.1% to $39.28 after CenturyLink (CTL) agreed to buy the company for $2.5 billion to add so-called cloud- computing services for business customers. CenturyLink was off 0.7% to $40.03.

Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) agreed to buy Synthes (SYST) for $21.3 billion, adding devices to treat bone fractures and trauma in the biggest purchase in the company’s 125-year history. J&J slipped 0.9 percent, while Synthes was little changed in Switzerland. Johnson & Johnson was down 1% to $64.33.

Orders for long-lasting goods rose in March for a third month, advancing 2.5%, the Commerce Department said. Economists had a predicted a 2.3% increase.

Yes sir, America is the Land Of Opportunity - for those who are already wealthy, that is. But if you're not, then expect to be exploited by those who are. It's true that a few of us make it to the upper classes, but that's usually a fluke. A poor person wins the lottery. Steve Jobs and Steve Pozniak started Apple Computers in their garage on a shoe string, but those are one-in-a-million occurrences.

The actions of the Federal Reserve Board prove that their only interest is in the wealthy elite, which are only about 5 percent of the population, yet control 85 percent of the wealth. The system is designed to benefit them, and set us up for failure. They can't allow too many people to become wealthy because that would foul up their system. Plus, part of the pleasure of wealth is being privileged, and getting to do things most people can't. Not to mention that if there are too many wealthy, there won't be enough workers for to exploit.

Comrades, nothing is ever going to change unless we MAKE it happen. The ANP has a plan, and dedicated people. But we still need more Supporters. The more we have, the sooner we can change things. If you're not already with us, send in your application today! The ANP is looking for a few good men (and women). Hey, where have I heard that before?

Judge's Gay Partner Raised In Proposition 8 Case

Vaughn R. Walker AP – In this photo taken Nov. 19, 2010, Chief District Judge Vaughn R. Walker, of the Northern District of California

SAN FRANCISCO – Proponents of California's same-sex marriage ban filed a motion Monday seeking to vacate the historic ruling that overturned Proposition 8 because the federal judge who wrote it is in a long-term relationship with another man.

Lawyers for the ban's backers said that Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker should have removed himself from the case, or at least disclosed his relationship status, to avoid a real or perceived conflict of interest.

"Only if Chief Judge Walker had unequivocally disavowed any interest in marrying his partner could the parties and the public be confident that he did not have a direct personal interest in the outcome of the case," attorneys for the coalition of religious and conservative groups that put Proposition 8 on the November 2008 ballot wrote.

They are now asking the judge who inherited the case when Walker retired at the end of February to toss out Walker's August 2010 decision. The 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals already is reviewing its legal merits at the request of the voter-approved measure's sponsors.

Walker has said that he did not consider his sexual orientation to be any more a reason for recusal than another judge's race or gender normally would be. A spokeswoman said Monday that the judge wouldn't comment on the motion.

American Foundation for Equal Rights President Chad Griffin, whose group has funded the legal effort to strike down Proposition 8, scoffed at the notion that the judge's personal life could imperil his ruling.

Griffin noted that the Obama administration recently had decided to stop defending the federal law that bans recognition of same-sex marriage after determining that it, too, was unconstitutional.

"This motion is another in a string of desperate and absurd motions by the proponents of Proposition 8, who refuse to accept that the freedom to marry is a Constitutional right," he said.

Walker, a 67-year-old Republican appointee, declared Proposition 8 to be an unconstitutional violation of gay Californian's civil rights last summer.

Rumors that the judge was gay circulated during the 13-day trial that preceded his decision and after he handed down his ruling.

Lawyers for Protect Marriage, the coalition that sponsored Proposition 8, however, had purposely refrained from raising his sexual orientation as a legal issue until Monday.

But they decided it gave them grounds for getting Walker's decision struck down after the judge disclosed his 10-year relationship this month to a group of courthouse reporters, Protect Marriage general counsel Andy Pugno.

The issue is not that Walker is gay, but that his relationship status made him too similar to the same-sex couples who sued for the right to marry, Pugno said.

"We deeply regret the necessity of this motion. But if the courts are to require others to follow the law, the courts themselves must do so as well," Pugno added.

Indiana University Law School professor Charles Geyh, an expert on judicial ethics, said he was strongly inclined to agree with Walker that a judge's sexual orientation is irrelevant to his ability to render a fair decision.

Without more evidence that Walker stood to personally benefit if same-sex marriages were legal in California, the Proposition 8 defense team's raising of his relationship is likely to fail or could even backfire, Geyh said.

"It really implies it would be fine if he were essentially surfing at bars and had a new partner every night because he wouldn't want to be married," he said. "I don't see that as advancing their cause."

Proposition 8's sponsors also have been trying to get the federal appeals court to order Walker to return his personal video copy of the trial. The judge has been using a three-minute segment of a defense witness being cross-examined for a lecture he's been giving on cameras in the courtroom.

Comment:

Judge Walker is a classic case of the fox guarding the henhouse. We have no reason to not believe that Walker, who is in a long term Gay relationship might want to marry his boyfriend someday. So by his ruling to overturn Prop. 8. he is benefiting himself. And he has the gall to say he could be impartial? Not bloody likely.

The thing is, if ZOG and their Jewish puppet masters want to legalise Gay marriage, then it's going to happen. The government always does exactly what it wants to do. The most we can do is delay them as much as we can.

Comrades, we can make them work for what they want. Let's not just lie down and let them do as they please. For example, if they want to screw me out of even more of my hard-earned money, I'm not simply going to hand it over without a fight. I'll use every legal resource at my disposal to fight them.

Detroit Event

Comrades, our Detroit Event is coming up at the end of the month. It still isn't too late to attend if you act NOW. Send in those commitment slips with your fee (the fee is used to defer the cost of food and other expenses, not for profit) TODAY! To make certain a place is reserved for you, you might also send HQ an email letting them know you that wish to attend and your slip and fee are in the mail. Remember, cash or money order only please.

If you live within a day's drive of the Detroit area, it doesn't cost that much, especially if you carpool. For those of you who would need to fly, that's a different matter. It can get expensive for some. As Chairman Suhayda said, if you can only afford to go to either Detroit or Laurens, but not both, then go to Laurens. It's much more important.

I cannot express just how truly important these conferences are. The more events you can attend, the more we can all get accomplished. The more that attend, the more of a success they will be, which will encourage even more to attend next year. It's also a chance to get together with some like-minded folk and have a plain old good time.

Unlike the recent "events" held by the NSM in which they were attacked by ARA, our events are safe. Detroit will be open to Official Supporters only. No ARA, no media, NO TROUBLE. Last week's conference in California was held the same way. No one was injured, no one was outed, and we accomplished a lot with NO TROUBLE.

How can we get anything done if no one will put out a little effort?

When I was an ANP Supporter the first time back in '08, I felt all alone. Who's fault was that? MINE! I missed our very first event. I put out no effort. I emailed the Chairman once in awhile. I made no friendships or contacts with other Supporters, and basically did nothing. Does that sound like you? If it does, YOU'RE the only one who can change that. You might say that if you don't know any other Supporters, you can't make friends and contacts. True enough. Coming to an event is a solution to that problem. Come to Detroit and/or Laurens and you will make friends and contacts. It will change your whole outlook. It changed mine.

Happy Anniversary!

Today is the first anniversary of Sense And Sensibility. As you all can see from the counter, which was added two days after this blog went up, that in one year, I have received nearly 20,000 hits.
Not bad, huh? Of course I must give some credit to the Jews Media. In the days following my registering to run for school board, I got several hundred hits alone. It happened again as election day approached. Thanks guys!

I'm sorry this isn't much of a post, but as I write this Sunday evening, I'm preparing for a medical procedure on Monday and the preparation is the worse part, and I'm not feeling up to anything more. My comrades shouldn't worry, and my opponents shouldn't get their hopes up. It's all precautionary and routine.

UPDATE ON YESTERDAY'S POST

The young comrade I mentioned yesterday has been exonerated of all assault charges. It seems the entire incident was caught on a surveillance camera and it proved that he acted in self-defense. I generally hate those cameras, but this time they saved one of us from wrongful prosecution. How ironic! One of ZOG's gismos has helped one of us!

Street Brawling Solves Nothing

Today, a young man of 16 I have become acquainted with, and who would like to become an Official Supporter when he turns 18 just got himself arrested for assault on a Black teenager. I am not completely familiar with the details of what happened, but the important thing is that HE is being blamed. Perhaps he was the one who started it, but I doubt it because there were two of them. But irregardless of who started it, the White boy is being held responsible. He could end up doing time in Juvenile Hall.

Comrades, street brawling, unless it is self-defense will only get YOU arrested. In White/Black violence, we usually get the blame. The Blacks cry racism to avoid getting in trouble. It's called "playing the race card." It usually works, unless the White has a mountain of evidence to prove the Black started it.

I urge all of you to stay legal at all times. The best weapons we have these days are grass-roots political action, and educational outreach.

This young comrade acted out of youthful hotheadedness. Unfortunately, he may have to pay a high price. If this is his first offense, he may get off with probation. We can only hope.

Remember, you can do more for our cause working on the outside, than rotting inside one of ZOG's gulags doing nothing. STAY LEGAL.

Immigration Angle Missing from Today's Economic News

"[I]mmigration reduces the wages of domestic workers who compete with immigrants. That’s just supply and demand: we’re talking about large increases in the number of low-skill workers relative to other inputs into production, so it’s inevitable that this means a fall in wages."

-Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman

According to Krugman, immigration policy reduces American employment opportunities and lowers existing workers' wages. Even the non-economists among us take supply and demand for granted. Yet, the bridge between the two is one that too few otherwise enlightened journalists have ever crossed. When was the last time you read a mainstream, objective news story about the impact our autopilot immigration policy has on the labor market?

Following the April jobs report major newspapers assured us that the economy is improving. For example, the Wall Street Journal's April 2, headline story read Hiring Shows Greater Strength. The lower unemployment rate and increased job creation, insists the Journal, are causes for celebration. The devil, however, is in the details. While the national economy may improve slightly in some sectors, the outlook for the average American worker is at best uncertain:

  1. From 2000-2010, all of the net employment gains went to immigrant (legal and illegal) workers. That doesn't mean native-born citizens didn't get jobs; it means fewer native-born workers were employed in 2010 than in 2000, despite a 13.5 million increase in native-born workers during that time. This trend pre-dates the recession. In fact, the same thing was happening ten years ago, during the 00-01 recession.
  2. The Bureau of Labor statistics estimates that most of the growth in jobs over the next decade will come in the form of low-paying jobs. For instance, nearly 400,000 food preparation and service jobs will be created by 2018 (average pay: $16,430), while only 11,100 financial examiner jobs (average pay: $70,930) will be created over the same period.
  3. Legal and illegal immigration adds hundreds of thousands new, low-skilled workers every year to compete with today's unemployed. Seventy-four percent of working-age illegal immigrants, and 46 percent of working-age legal immigrants have no education beyond high school.

How much does immigration policy contribute to middle class erosion? To what extent does immigration policy slow the recovery for American workers? Does immigration create a permanent underclass of foreign workers? Why are legal immigration numbers rarely discussed in Washington? These are big questions, the answers to which should generate powerful stories. So far though, the mainstream media has ignored the immigration-American worker connection.

Comment:

I think we all know why the media ignores this. It's because the Judeo-Capitalists control 95% of the media. They want this to continue. Lower wages for us means higher profits for them. They couldn't give a hoot about a loss in quality of life for us. In fact, they like it. Think about it. Aside from luxury and power, being wealthy means privilege. If everyone is rich, then no one is rich. Having such privileges gives them a feeling of superiority. Let's face it, most people like feeling superior to others. Wealth gives them this and then some.

Comrades, it's up to us to put an end to this. The ANP has a plan, and dedicated people. What we still need is even more dedicated people, and the funds to carry out this plan. If you aren't already a Supporter, I urge you to send in your application and pledge today. I hate to sound like some money grubber who is only interested in cash, but the cold hard fact is we need funds to operate. Without them, we can't beat them. They are so successful because they have all the money they need to put their plans into action.

"If you don't want your children and your children's children to be condemned for all eternity as slaves of world capitalism, if you don't want to be made the protectors of stock exchange bandits and other bloodsuckers by your treacherous leaders,if you are on the contrary filled with a fanatical will for freedom, then join the ranks of the National Socialist Party." - Adolf Hitler, 1926.

Black Panthers Announce "Eygptian style" Showdown

The militant armed black Muslim group, New Black Panther Party(NBPP), is calling for a 60 city “showdown.” The group preaches a screwball version of Islam that teaches white people were created by an evil wizard. They say Allah will “burn America with fire,” and whites will soon be exterminated in the US.

“The center of the revolution,” as the NBPP calls it, will be in Harlem and led by militant anti-white NYC city council member Charles Barron and NBPP leader Malik Shabazz.

Members of the NBPP who used paramilitary uniforms and billy clubs to intimidate white voters in the past election will be guests of honor at the Harlem demonstration.

From NBPP

Like in Tahir square in Egypt we will establish this historic location for our revolution and our demands. Over 1,000 are expected in this historic outdoor political rally.

Come to our News conference on Tue April 19th at 1pm on 7th Ave and 125th street

As in other revolutions, protests and uprisings going on around the earth, a showdown is looming for Saturday April 23rd as marchers with the ”National International Day of Action and Unity” are furious and frustrated with New York officials blatant discrimination and denial of their constitutional and human right to rally and march. Marchers are marching and rallying in 60 cities around America and in London and Africa to demand justice for Black People and improvement in our conditions.

On 4-23 We will be Rallying at the Adam Clayton Powell building and Marching Down 125th street. On April 23rd, whether we have to do it with or without a permit, face jail or take whatever action is necessary to relieve oppressive conditions against Blacks in New York and around the planet.

This news conference will be attended by Brooklyn City Councilman Charles Barron, March co-organizer, New Black Panther Leader, Attorney Malik Zulu Shabazz, community supporters and leaders and of course members of the New Black Panther Party, who have been the subject of major national controversy surrounding the Dismissal of Voter Intimidation Charges by the United States Department of Justice.

Comment:

I'm sure there are some that we say that we should counter-demonstrate. Wrong! First, the ANP doesn't engage in such activities. Secondly, if we, or any other White group shows up at that March there will surely be violence. The Panthers would make certain of that. We will not play their little game. Besides, you all know as well as I do that if we did show up, and there was violence, no matter who started it, the "evil Nazis" would get the blame. The media would see to that.

My advice to any of you who live near enough to attend is STAY AWAY! Don't play their little game. Don't give them any satisfaction. Let these fantasy costume-clubbers have their little march. It will accomplish about as much as when a WN group has a similar event.

However, IF there is any violence, I will be watching the press to see how it's handled. I'm sure they'll find a way to show that the Panthers were justifiably provoked, but it will be interesting to see exactly how they do it.

I may or may not post a follow-up story for Sunday depending on what happens and how the press reacts.

Once again I have Comrade Raymond Bxxxxxxx to thank for this story.

Whoops! Six-year-old spent $150 in Android app

By Rosa Golijan

There's been plenty of talk about how children are managing to spend hundreds of dollars on virtual items in iPhone apps without their parents' consent or knowledge, but a six-year-old girl's Android-based shopping spree reminds us that incidents like that can happen on any mobile platform.

The Next Web reports that an Android user going by the name "Heidi" recently sought advice regarding in-app purchases on the Talk Android forum. She explained that her six-year-old daughter managed to charge $149.99 to her credit card while playing an Android game called Restaurant Story and wanted to know if there was a way to get that money refunded:

It appears child was able to click on the “Buy” button within the app, initiating the Android Market payment process. From there, all that needed to be done was to accept the Terms and Conditions, charging the in-app purchase immediately to the mother’s credit card.

Unlike Apple's in-app purchase system, Android's did not appear to require any password to be entered in this particular instance and Heidi's daughter was able to purchase gems — virtual in-game currency for Restaurant Story — without any trouble.

Odds are that the child didn't really understand that gaining virtual currency would mean that her mother's wallet would suffer. And while it is a parent's responsibility to make sure a child understands that concept, we do feel that it's an app maker's responsibility to include some sort of simple childproofing feature for in-app purchases.

Hopefully Android will follow in the footsteps of iOS and include tighter parental controls in future software updates.

Comment:

Comrades, this is a typical modern-day example of Judeo-Capitalists acting like typical predators in the wild. In the jungle, when a predator sees a herd of antelope, they look for the weakest one to single out for attack. Often this mean juveniles. This is precisely what has happened. Android knew very well that without passwords being required, children would innocently purchase apps for games and things.

The fat cats have always preyed on the weak and innocent. This is yet another reason for us to avoid useless technological junk. This game, "Restaurant Story" is basically about going out to eat. Why do children need this? To teach them about money? When I was a kid we learned these things from board games. Kids today are so spoiled they wouldn't play a board game for anything.

Incidents like these are as much our fault as the fat cats. If you leave a piece of carrion in your yard, the vultures and rats will come.

We must not allow ourselves to be suckered in by the sharks on Wall Street and Madison Ave. And to add insult to injury, all these technological trinkets are made in China, with customer service centers in India.

Kids, and adults for that matter don't need every piece of technological crap that comes along. They also don't need designer clothes, and expensive jewelry. What I'm trying to say is DON'T FEED THE VULTURES!

In Remembrance

We all know what today is. If you don't, then all I can say is what kind of a National Socialist are you?!

It is how you will honour the birth of our Fuhrer that will determine whether you are a talker or a walker. If all you intend on doing is lighting a candle or toasting our Fuhrer from the safety and privacy of your home, then you're a talker. And may I remind you toasters that Hitler did not drink.

Hitler would rather forgo all the toasts, candle lighting, and "Happy birthday Addy"'s and instead have us do something to advance his cause - to advance OUR cause, rather than spouting platitudes, and meaningless birthday rituals. He'd rather us distribute literature, than light a candle. He rather have a new recruit than a cake. And like I said, he didn't even drink.

Now I realise today is a work day. We can't all take the day off in these hard economic times. Indeed, the Fuhrer often said that the most important thing to do is to earn our daily bread for ourselves and our families. But how about this weekend? Instead of watching sweaty Black men dunking balls in hoops, or idiots trying to kill themselves driving their cars round a track at 200 mph, get out there and work for our cause. That's the best way to honour the birth of our Fuhrer. Let's all do some walking, instead of talking.

Instead of watching sweaty Black men dunking balls in hoops, or idiots trying to kill themselves driving their cars round a track at 200 mph, get out there and work for our cause. That's the best way to honour the birth of our Fuhrer. Let's all do some walking, instead of talking.

Immigration Chair Gallegly Holds Productive Hearing on Visa Lottery, but Few Members Attend

By Jonathan Osborne, Wednesday, April 6, 2011, 12:14 PM EDT

The House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration Policy and Enforcement hosted a hearing Tuesday afternoon to debate H.R.704, the SAFE for America Act, which would end the Visa Lottery Program. The Congressmen in attendance were Elton Gallegly (Subcommittee Chairman) of California, Zoe Lofgren (Subcommittee Ranking Member) of California, John Conyers (Committee Ranking Member) of Michigan, and Pedro Pierluisi the Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico.

The witnesses were Rep. Bob Goodlatte of Virginia as the sponsor of H.R.704 and a member of the House Judiciary Committee, Janice Kephart with the National Security Policy Center for Immigration Studies, Stephen Edson who was formally with the State Department’s visa services unit, and Ambassador Johnny Young with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

Despite the promise and potential for this hearing to be a lively debate with an in-depth discussion on where each side draws the line between security and immigration and sets their priorities, the hearing was postponed over an hour thanks to votes on the House floor and a “suspicious package” found in the basement of one of the House office buildings.

Furthermore, Rep. Ted Poe of Texas, one of the Immigration Subcommittee’s best voices, was offered time by the Republican leadership to speak on the floor for an hour about border security. Mr. Poe made a great speech and had an impressive discussion with other Members of Congress, but his time on the House floor prevented him and a few other Members from attending the hearing. It was a great opportunity for him to discuss our border security problems and we’re all grateful for his efforts, but it would have been nice to have a better attended hearing on one of our top priorities: ending the Visa Lottery Program.

Members of Congress just can’t be in two places at once. Unfortunately, the sparsely attended event with only one Republican and three Democrats yielded a short hearing that lasted less than an hour. However, the limited time frame should not take away from the hearing’s importance.

Chairman Gallegly opened the hearing, after apologizing for the late start, by diving right into the issue. He presented background on the issue since its inception in 1990, but then said the Diversity Visa Program (also known as the Visa Lottery) was rife with fraud and that even the State Department acknowledged the high level of deception. Mr. Gallegly mentioned that terrorists have already used the Visa Lottery to enter the United States and that immigration policy should be “something more than the luck of the draw.” Furthermore, he indicated that he was a proud cosponsor of Rep. Goodlatte’s bill (H.R.704) to end the Visa Lottery Program and would continue to advocate for its passage. The Chairman had a surprisingly powerful opening statement indicative of his passion and resolve to finally pass legislation ending the Visa Lottery Program.

Ranking Member Lofgren rebutted Chairman Gallegly’s statement by focusing on the relative impact of the program. She said only 4.8% of LPRs were admitted through this program, emphasizing that it was a small program and of little importance compared to other immigration issues. She then shifted the debate from security to diversity. She said “Diversity Visas” are carefully screened, “just like any other visa,” and then stressed that the program was designed to “grow and sustain a diverse nation.” She continued by saying that “Diversity Visa” winners were more likely to hold managerial type jobs than those entering under family reunification or traditional worker visas. She was trying to make a point that Visa Lottery winners added something to our country outside of simple diversity. However, her statistic was very niche and of little impact on the underlying debate except for the American worker who didn’t win a management job because of having to compete against one of these managerial type lottery winners. She then expressed opposition to the bill and stressed that she would continue to oppose the bill regardless of the hearing. She said it does not create “fairness” and just eliminates opportunity.

Committee Ranking Member John Conyers used his opening statement to express opposition to H.R.704 and support Mrs. Lofgren’s statement. He said, “I like Mr. Goodlatte, but I don’t like his bill.” He then said the real question about the hearing should be whether or not the United States wants to have another way for people who don’t qualify under the regular immigration system to enter this country or not. I suspect he assumes the American people would overwhelmingly side with him, but I don’t know of one legal immigrant or American citizen who would support polices that undermine the regular immigration process.

He then returned to the diversity issue and said, “Maybe the opponents of this program don’t want diversity in the first place, a valid but not nice position.” He then said, “These hearings are never about how to improve the system, they’re about how to eliminate the system” and that this program is the best system for Africans to enter the United States. In other words, he is trying to use “white man’s guilt” to push the Republicans away from the issue instead of engaging them about security concerns and the program’s inconsistencies compared to other forms of immigration.

Ranking Member Conyers’ statement prompted Chairman Gallegly to interrupt. The Chairman said many experts agree that our country can diversify through regular migration. Mr. Conyers responded by saying, “I reject that out of hand. It isn’t happening.” Mrs. Lofgren then reiterated that most the lottery winners are managerial types without spouses and children and that “diversity has always made our country better.”

After this exchange, the witnesses presented their testimony starting with Rep. Bob Goodlatte, the bill’s sponsor. Mr. Goodlatte said the United States has the largest and most diverse immigration system regardless of the Diversity Visa Program. He said “we grant refugee status and asylum” and that “no hearings were held to improve this program in the last Congress.”

Mr. Goodlatte in one sentence took the sting out of the Democrats talking points. If the Democrats cared so much about improving this program, why then did they do nothing for 4 years? Why do they care so much now as Congress debates whether to eliminate the program, which continues to fail and undermine our immigration system?

Mr. Goodlatte then returned to the security issue where he said it was easy for Al-Qaeda to submit names and wait out the odds. He then said the program is also greatly unfair to people who meet the needs of the United States, including family connection, job skill, or humanitarian purpose. More specifically, he said, “This allows people to bypass the current system and get here based on pure luck.”

He then hit it home by stressing that his bill passed the House of Representatives in the 109th Congress and the 110th Congress, one controlled by each party.

After the other witnesses testified, Chairman Gallegly opened a round of questions. His first question about terrorism was directed at Mr. Goodlatte. Mr. Goodlatte responded by saying it is more difficult for terrorist groups to infiltrate the United States if they have to meet a job skill or family reunification status.

Chairman Gallegly directed his next question to Janice Kephart and asked her about organized crime infiltrating the Visa Lottery Program. Mrs. Kephart responded by saying it was easy to switch identities and move about the United States untraced without a job or family connection.

Ranking member Lofgren then questioned Ambassador Young and asked if he used the “Diversity Visas” as a tool for spreading the message of hope during his diplomacy. Ambassador Young responded by saying “I would get asked, particularly in Togo, ‘what could I do’ and I would direct then to sign up for the diversity visa.” He then reiterated during ranking Member Conyers’ questions that the program was an opportunity for hope.

Mr. Pierluisi began his questions by saying the Visa Lottery Program offers a caring message of diversity. He then said out of 800,000 lottery visas, there were only 4 cases of abuse mentioned, which is strained logic if not outright misleading and wrong. He said, “Let’s keep improving it, but not send a message that we are closing the door.”

Ambassador Young responded to his statement by saying that the program is “good, important, and serves its purpose.”

However, Mr. Goodlatte responded by saying,

I practiced law before this program existed and helped get LPR status for people from over 70 different countries. With our problems of security and high unemployment, we should not hand out visas based on pure luck.

Well said Mr. Goodlatte! He was the real rock star of this hearing.

I just wish the Subcommittee could have achieved the same Member turnout as last week’s H-1B visa hearing. Nevertheless, the good news is that the Subcommittee can now report its business and allow the full committee to debate and mark-up the bill.

Yes, Ambassador Young, hope is on the way.

Comment:

Comrades, this Visa Lottery makes absolutely no sense. It seems all that the government is concerned about these days is security. When you go to the airport, everyday average people are treated like criminals. We get x-rayed, patted down, scrutinized, questioned, and more. If you just hop over the border to Tijuana, when you come back, you get the same treatment, plus you're surrounded by national guardsmen carrying M16's and with attack dogs on leashes. Yet this same government is handing out hundreds of visa every year to foreigners who in reality could be anybody. Why don't we just hand out visas to Osama Bin Laden and his lieutenants and be done with it.

True national security does not depend on international interaction, but SECURE BORDERS. These same troops that are used to harrass American citizens returning from day trips to Mexico should be used to secure the borders. I don't need to go on, do I? No. You all know the score.

In a National Socialist state, we'd have secure borders. The few immigrants that were allowed in to the country would be screened and vetted to keep all criminal elements out. Not to mention diseases. How many illegals come here every year carrying diseases that other wise would not even exist in this country?

It's not just for our good, but theirs as well. Many of them come here, both legally and illegally, spending every centavo they have, and cannot find work because there are just too many of them. Not enough housing, not enough social programs, not enough of everything. So for their own good as well as ours, mass immigration must end.
