Activists reach out for immigration act

With the U.S. Senate likely to vote today on the DREAM Act, local students and activists worked this week to get Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, to support the bill.
Students are hoping the senator will be one of 60 lawmakers (to prevent a filibuster) convinced that children of people who entered the U.S. illegally have a right to citizenship through an education and through military service.
"The DREAM Act is intended to prevent young people from being punished for the actions of their parents, giving them the opportunity to obtain legal status by pursuing a higher education or by serving in the American armed forces - for the country they grew up in and embrace as their own," said Diego Castro, a senior at Washington High

The words, encouraging Alaskans to call on Murkowski to vote for the DREAM Act - or Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act - were printed on a two-page script from which eight callers drew phrases, depending on the response.
"Everybody right now is trying to think more of themselves, they're trying to make a living for the family," said Jesus Rivera, 19, a Colton resident who is working to save up money for college. "But we need to show them this is what's fair and good for everyone."
This week's phone drive, held at the San Bernardino Community Service Center, focused on Alaska voters. During other events, local activists have called voters in Utah and Nebraska, all of them identified as progressive, based on earlier phone bank efforts.
San Bernardino Valley College student Hector Guzman, 18, said nearly everyone he spoke to agreed to call Murkowski and that the economic argument convinced most.
"We're not trying to pass a handout - we're trying to help those who go to college, go to the Army, do something progressive in their lives," Guzman said. "If (illegal immigrants) get their papers here, they'll start working, which means they'll be paying more taxes, so it's money for everyone."
And just a few of those calls could shift the senator's position, Guzman said.
"She's iffy about it. She's 50-50, so if we get her to 51, it helps," he said.
That might be a touch optimistic, as it's likely that Murkowski and other Senate Republicans, along with some Democrats, will block a vote on the DREAM Act.
She and the other 41 Senate Republicans signed a letter Monday saying they will not allow a vote on any legislation until and unless the Senate votes on budget bills and an extension of federal tax cuts.
"While there are other items that might ultimately be worthy of the Senate's attention, we cannot agree to prioritize any matters above the critical issues of funding the government and preventing a job-killing tax hike," said the letter, addressed to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.
The letter made no specific mention of the DREAM Act. The proposal would give citizenship to those who illegally entered the country before they were 15 if they serve in the military or graduate from college.
Rep. Joe Baca, D-San Bernardino, an outspoken supporter of the DREAM Act, said things don't look good for the legislation during the final weeks of this congressional session.
"I am hopeful that some Republicans will work with Democrats to pass the DREAM Act, but at this point, it seems very doubtful the legislation will advance in the Senate," Baca said. "Republicans are content to use immigration as a political wedge issue that divides the American people. But when it comes to working towards real solutions, like the DREAM Act, they don't want any part of it."
Cal State San Bernardino senior Ivan Rosales is in Washington lobbying those senators directly to pass the bill.
"(Republicans) say they support it, but there's always a reason why they won't (vote for it) this time," said Rosales, who came to the United States when he was 1. "I can't imagine someone thinking a 1-year-old was committing a crime because they were born outside the country. ...
"I consider myself an American, and I want to serve it as a military doctor and cancer researcher."
Critics of the bill, though, have called it a "backdoor amnesty" for illegal immigrants.

Comrades, the majority of the American people, both White and non-White have made it clear that they do NOT want this act to pass. But does our government care? Yeah, sure they do. They're going to pass this thing if they think it will benefit them, despite how the people feel. They'll pass the DREAM ACT, and then these newly nationalised "citizens" will sponsor their illegal parents and get them green cards. Then they'll send for more relatives from South Of The Border, and then we'll be even more screwed. That's more people looking for jobs. More kids in our schools. More people draining our social programs. Comrades, we simply can't afford this any longer. If our politicians can't accept this, then they must be removed from office.

Literature Distribution
Comrades, I don't intend to bother with this subject every month, but December is different from every other month of the year.
During most months, it's alright to put off this duty until later in the month. However, Christmas is coming up, and it's on a weekend this year. I'm sure we all have more enjoyable things to do on the 25th besides handing out literature, so for December, the best thing to do is to just get out and do it. I'm all ready to go. This weekend I'm going to get it done, so I can spend time doing all the holiday things we enjoy such as putting up decorations, trimming the tree, and hanging the outdoor lights (that one I'm not too crazy about- up the ladder, hang, down the ladder, move, up the ladder hang, down the ladder, move, etc ad nauseum).
Now I realise that in many parts of the country, going out and doing this - especially late at night may not be practical. But for those who live where the weather permits this, I suggest you don't procrastinate. Just do it. Two hundred flyers and/or stickers sounds like a lot when you say it, but in reality it's a snap. Just put a DVD in the player, watch a movie and sort your literature, put them in ziplock backs with a rock, put them in a box (I use a laundry basket. It holds more than 200 baggies and is easy to carry.). Before you know it, you're all finished. All that's left to do is to go out and drop them off.
It is true that some places of business work extra hours this month. If you work at such a place, then you may not have the time what with extra work plus all the holiday preparations. But if you will be working regular hours, and if weather permits, get it done early. Now if you work for a company that closes between Christmas and New Year's Day and you're not going out-of-town, that would be an ideal time to do it. You can wait until almost the end of the month, and still have plenty of time to get it done.
We all want to enjoy this festive time of year, but we shouldn't be neglectful of our duties either. The enemy won't be taking the month off, and neither should we.
Unless you'll be getting extra time off at the end of the month, the best thing to do is get your responsibilities done early, then you can relax and enjoy your Christmas.
Finally, I know we all have extra exspenses in December, but we still need you to send your monthly pledges in on time. The ANP has bills to pay every month. There's website hosting fees, buying paper, ink cartidges, xerox expsenses, postage exspenses, and the like. We don't want the ANP to start the year off broke do we? Your monthly pledge is every bit as much a duty as literature distribution. Let's all get these things done ASAP and then we can enjoy our Christmas season.

Announcements And Reminders
Today I just want to make a few announcements and reminders to everyone.
First, I want to remind you all that anonymous comments ARE allowed. Due to an oversight on my part, they weren't at first, but that has been corrected.
Second, I have begun my own YouTube channel. You can find it at http://www.youtube.com/user/ANPGhost?feature=mhum The only video I've posted is the one I posted here the other day, but there will be more later.
Third, my Craig's List ANP ad is STILL up! That's 15 days and still running. A record for me!
Fourth, the ANP's National event will be held this summer in Laurens, SC. I'll announce the exact date as soon as it is set, and I'm given authorisation to do so.
Fifth, the ANP is also holding it's Christmas Party on December 4 at the Redneck Shop in Laurens, hosted by Comrade John Taylor Bowles. I wish I could attend, but I have to save my money for the big one this summer.
Sixth, this one is of some concern. Chairman Suhayda is suffering from ill health. It is NOT life threatening. I will not go into any more detail here, as I don't feel it's appropriate. I have been back with ANP only about six weeks now, and since I have not fully earned everyone's trust yet, I am not privy to everything. Rocky explains it all in his lastest ANP Report. If you would like to know more, I suggest you go to the main website and read for yourselves.
Finally, if you haven't already noticed, my counter has passed 10,000 hits! Now I have to admit that the media is responsible for probably about two thousand of them. When I announced my candidacy for school board, the next day I received about 500 hits. For the next several days, I was getting two or three hundred a day, then it went back to normal. Just before the election, it jumped way up again for a few days. Anyway, a hit is a hit, right? I'd like to thank everyone who has made this blog the minor success it is.

When I announced my candidacy for school board, the next day I received about 500 hits. For the next several days, I was getting two or three hundred a day, then it went back to normal. Today I just want to make a few announcements and reminders to everyone.
First, I want to remind you all that anonymous comments ARE allowed. Due to an oversight on my part, they weren't at first, but that has been corrected.
Second, I have begun my own YouTube channel. You can find it at http://www.youtube.com/user/ANPGhost?feature=mhum The only video I've posted is the one I posted here the other day, but there will be more later.
Third, my Craig's List ANP ad is STILL up! That's 15 days and still running. A record for me!
Fourth, the ANP's National event will be held this summer in Laurens, SC. I'll announce the exact date as soon as it is set, and I'm given authorisation to do so.
Fifth, the ANP is also holding it's Christmas Party on December 4 at the Redneck Shop in Laurens, hosted by Comrade John Taylor Bowles. I wish I could attend, but I have to save my money for the big one this summer.
Sixth, this one is of some concern. Chairman Suhayda is suffering from ill health. It is NOT life threatening. I will not go into any more detail here, as I don't feel it's appropriate. I have been back with ANP only about six weeks now, and since I have not fully earned everyone's trust yet, I am not privy to everything. Rocky explains it all in his lastest ANP Report. Navajo Indian Branded With Swastikas
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A New Mexico man pleaded not guilty Monday to federal hate-crime charges in the case of a mentally disabled Navajo man who had a swastika branded on his arm with a hot metal clothes hanger.
William Hatch, 29, of Fruitland and two other defendants are the first to be prosecuted by the federal government under a historic 2009 law targeting hate crimes involving disabilities or sexual orientation.
Hatch entered the plea during his initial appearance at the federal courthouse.
Paul Beebe, 26, and Jesse Sanford, 25, both of Farmington, also appeared but had no attorneys and didn't enter pleas. U.S. Magistrate Robert Scott indicated he would have lawyers appointed to represent both men then scheduled their arraignments for Tuesday.
All three defendants wore orange inmate jumpsuits, with their hands and feet shackled.
Along with the branding in April, the three men are accused of shaving a swastika onto the back of the 22-year-old victim's head and using markers to write "KKK" and "White Power" on him.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Roberto Ortega said the case is the first in the nation to be pursued by the Justice Department under the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act.
The law was named after two men who were murdered in 1998 in Wyoming and Texas. The statute expanded a 1969 federal hate crime law to include crimes motivated by a victim's disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation.
Shepard was a gay Wyoming college student who was beaten and found dead tied to a fence post. Byrd was a black man who was chained to a pickup truck by three white men and dragged to his death.
Indictments in the New Mexico case were handed down on Nov. 12.
Hatch, Beebe and Sanford also face state charges of kidnapping, aggravated battery and conspiracy. The federal and state cases will run simultaneously, and federal prosecutors plan to work closely with the district attorney's office in Farmington.
If convicted of the hate crime statute, each defendant could face prison terms of up to 10 years. The possible sentence could increase to life if prosecutors prove kidnapping occurred.
Each also faces a conspiracy charge, which carries a possible five-year prison sentence upon conviction.

This is exactly the kind of thing that we DON'T need happening. What did these three accomplish? Nothing constructive. All these turds succeeded in doing was to assault a harmless, disabled Native American, and give the media lots of ammunition to use against true National Socialists such as those in the ANP.
Remember comrades, the Jewish run media just laps this stuff up. It boosts their ratings, plus sets back our movement. If someday, a White revolution does occur, that's one thing, but random violence like this gives all of us a black eye.
I urge all of you to stay legal, and watch the racial slurs while in public. Words like Nigger uttered publicy only serve to show ignorance. The ANP is a respectable organisation. Let's all behave appropriately at all times. Hail Victory!
