This is a joke I heard from a Roman Catholic priest (Irish, from Ireland) during his sermon during Midnight Mass a few years ago. I think he had a lot of balls telling this one!
The first day after Christmas vacation, a first grade teacher was asking her students what they had done for Christmas. One Catholic little boy said they went to Midnight Mass, then came home and waited for Santa to bring him his toys.
One Episcopalian little girl said they went out Caroling, then came home and waited for Santa to bring her her toys.
After getting similar stories from several children, the teacher suddenly remembered she had one Jewish child in class. Not wanting her to feel left out, she asked her what she did for the holidays. The child told her that she and her family went to one place and sang one Christmas Carol.
Puzzled, the teacher asked, "Where did you go and what did you sing?"
The child replied, "We all went down to my father's department store and we all sang, 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus'"!
