Comrades, I just read in my local paper that filing for city and county elections here in San Bernardino County begins Monday, July 12, and ends Friday, August 9. Now these dates may not be the same throughout the country, but they should be similar. I still think it may be too soon for Aryan Nations to run for office. I believe it would be better to wait for the next elections because most of us know very little about the how's and why's of things. We need time to educate ourselves. However, there may be some of us who have either already done their homework, or have even tried running for office previously. If you are one of these, then now's the time to move.
If any of our members decide to try and run for something, we will give them all the support we can. Just take my advice, and choose a realistic goal. You'll unlikely be able to win the governorship, nor state senate or assembly. Stick to local offices. City and County things. It's not as glamourous and exciting, but more realistic. Like a business major who just graduated from college, we can't start on the board of directors. We must start low, and work our way up. That's the only way we can succeed in the electoral process. Non-partisan offices are our best bet. That's offices where your political party affiliation is irrelevant. Mayor, city council, county clerk, county registrar of voters, and the like.
I also advise that we neither advertise, nor hide who and what we are. We just run for a non-partisan office. If we win, and if we do a good job, and then people find out that we are National Socialists, they may say, "Hey, this guy is some kind of Nazi, yet I don't see the Swastika flying over city hall, or the police rounding up minorities, or SS troops goose-stepping through town. He seems to be doing a good job. Maybe we were wrong about them all along."
Maybe some will think that, but not most. Some will cry for immediate impeachment. But you can't impeach someone soley on his political affiliation. As long as you do your job adequately, they're stuck with you until your term is over. But maybe by then, enough people will come around for you to get a second term, or even a higher office. We must never take giant steps, unless we want to fall flat on our faces like John Taylor Bowles did when he ran for president. Now I'm not taking a nasty shot at JT. All I'm saying is he took a giant step, and fell. Next time, I'm sure he'll take a smaller step. Might I suggest County clerk, a seat on the zoning board, or maybe even city council, if he thinks he has enough support. I don't really know what the people of Laurens think of him, but he could have a chance. You never know unless you try.
Remember, most offices require candidates to be at least 21 years old, and some may require them to be older. To run for the U.S. Congress, you have to be at least 25. But like I said, Congress is unrealistic at the present. Check to make certain you're eligible to run. If you're 35 or older, you meet the age requirement for everything.
I'd also like to see Director Mullet run for something. Perhaps a county office. I think Gordon Young should also consider running. If not this year, then 2012, like me. The same for our other leaders. I'll probably wait until 2012, but I'm definitely going to go down to the registrar's office and do some checking right after I get back from Pulaski. I'll have about 16 days to decide by then. Once I do some homework, I'll be in a better position to make such an important decision. We'll see. Like I said, you never know until you try! Hail Victory!
