4 charged in Pleasanton immigration fraud case

Wednesday, October 12, 2011

PLEASANTON, CA. -- Four defendants have been charged in federal court with visa fraud for their alleged roles in the case of a fake university in Pleasanton being used as a front for foreign students seeking to establish U.S. immigration status, according to court documents unsealed Tuesday.

Vishal Dasa, 25, Anji Reddy Dirisinala, Ramakrishna Reddy Karra and Tushar Tambe each pleaded not guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Oakland to conspiracy to commit visa fraud.

Last year, an undercover agent with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement went to Tri-Valley University in Pleasanton and posed as a prospective foreign student whose student visa had expired years earlier. Dasa said "registration and tuition" would cost $2,800 and gave the agent a form certifying that he had been accepted as a student, ICE Special Agent Jason Mackey wrote in an affidavit.

"It has come. Now you are legal," Dasa allegedly told the agent.

The agent told Dasa he wouldn't be able to take the classes because he lived in New York and didn't have Internet access, and Dasa replied, "I will take care of that. ... There won't be any problem," the affidavit said.

The agent's form was later signed by a woman Dasa identified as his "madam." The woman in question, Susan Su, 41, operated the university and was indicted in May on charges of visa fraud, alien harboring and other crimes.

The roles that the other defendants allegedly played in the case were not immediately released.

Prosecutors said Su accepted money from foreigners, mostly Indians, in exchange for what was purported to be tuition and fees.

Prosecutors said Indian nationals paid about $2,700 a semester in tuition for visa-related documents that allowed them to live and work in the country on student immigration status.

No preaching today. I'll just say I hope they throw the book at them, but I wouldn't count on it. I never trust the court system either.

BTW, I don't believe these Indians were cheated. I think they knew they were signing up at a phony college just so they could get student visas. Now they lost their money and their visas. Serves them right. I hope they have a nice trip home.

This was sent to me by Comrade Dr. Johann Hauptmann. Although he doesn't live in Pleasanton, he lives in a town not too far away, so this is his neck of the woods. Thanks again, comrade.

  1. So much for the "model minority." It seems like "legal" immigration sometimes gets overlooked when so much focus is on the illegal mestizo invasion. I believe the USA lets in something like a million or more "legal" immigrants every year. Obviously, most are non-White. Also, about a million foreign workers get H1-B Visas every year. These seem to be mostly Chinese and Indians.

Don't be fooled by the smiling Hindu or Paki selling you your beer at the local party store. Or the polite, "oh sank you sir" Oriental, handing over your order of greasy Chop Suey. The Asians arent as violent and dangerous as the blacks and latinos, but they are still a serious threat in their own way. WE were stupid enough to let millions of them into our country, and they're gonna take everything they can get.

    You said it, comrade.

Asians are less likely to leech off the system as are Mestizos, however, for everyone of them who does work, that's one less job for American born citizens.
