Rabbi, school officials to discuss youth challenges 'Putting kids first' is title of Thursday panel at Congregation Beth Am

A rabbi and top officials from three local school districts will explore "challenges young people face in today's high-stress world" in a panel discussion set for Thursday.

"Putting kids first" is the title of the event, to be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at Congregation Beth Am, 26790 Arastradero Road, Los Altos Hills.

Panelists include Beth Am Senior Rabbi Janet Marder; the superintendents of both the Los Altos School District and the Mountain View-Los Altos High School District; Gunn High School Principal Katya Villalobos; and Becky Beacom, health education manager for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

Beth Am representative Sylvia Star-Lack said members of the congregation have spent the past year researching the social and emotional health of school-age children.

"This important community dialogue is the culmination of a year of research," she said.

The event is co-sponsored by Congregation Beth Am and Peninsula Interfaith Action, a group of 30 congregations interested in joint action on local quality-of-life issues.

Let me ask you all something Comrades. Now I'm not a practising Christian, but what if it was all non- Jewish organisations involved here? What do you think the Jews would say to that? I say they would be screaming bloody murder and accusing said groups of violating the Constitutional amendment of separation of church and state.

I guess they feel it's alright when they do it. They have to make the world safe for Judaism, but everyone else is on their own. TJB (Typical Jew Behaviour).

As good old Richard Nixon once said, let me make this perfectly clear. I don't feel that Joe Average Jew is our enemy. Not the Jew who runs the local deli. Personally, I like knishes and blintzes. The Jewish couple that runs the dry cleaners isn't our enemy either. No. It's the Goldmans and the Sachses. The Madoffs and the Rothschilds, and all the Judeo-Capitalists, most of whom are not even Jewish that are our enemies.

As to Israel itself, most people give them too much credit. Yes, we are fighting their wars. Yes, Americans are dying to make the world safe for Israeli policies. And yes, the government is giving them our hard earned tax money. ALL OF THIS MUST STOP!

But as to Israel itself, what are they? They are a third rate country in the middle of a worthless piece of second rate desert. The only reason they are even a threat at all is because the U.S. government is backing them. Cut off their aid and they are in deep sh*t. If that ever happened, then the Arab nations would take care of them for us, and we wouldn't even have to be bothered.

I say that any country that can't take care of and defend itself doesn't deserve to exist in the first place. And that goes for the United States as well.

Thanks again to Comrade Raymond Bxxxxxxx for the graphics, and Comrade Johann Hauptman for the story. Mountain View, Ca. is where Comrade Johann lives so this story is especially relevant to him.

Hail Victory
Dan 88!
