Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

Rather than take the trouble to write something long, although interesting for Thanksgiving, I decided since it was a holiday, I'd skip it.

Instead, I'm writing about responsibility. A sense of responsibility is one of the most important qualities of a good National Socialist. I'm not just talking about work ethics or caring for your family.

At this time of year, I'm referring to not drinking too much. I know a lot of boozers out there don't want to hear this, but Thanksgiving is NOT an excuse to get drunk off your ass, then act like one.

Sure, it's fine to enjoy a few drinks with family and friends, but let's all use a little self-control. And most especially let's not get behind the wheel of a car if you've had more than two drinks. If you do, you could endanger the lives of yourselves, family and friends, and strangers as well.

Now I can't speak for the rest of the country, but here in California they can screw you royally if they nail you on a DUI. Aside from possible jail time and a fine, they'll impound your car - even if you have a passenger who is stone cold sober who could drive it home for you.

Here in San Bernardino County, the towing charge is about $300, and $200 a day impound fee, including the day it's brought in. Now they may bring in cars on Thanksgiving Day, but there's no pick up until Monday. You'll be charged $200 each of the four days, and another $200 if you don't pick it up by noon next Monday.

Let's do the math. $300 plus $200 times four equals $1,300, plus whatever fine is imposed (at least $2,000), bringing it up to at least $3,100. Not to mention your license will be suspended for six months. If you're caught driving on a suspended license you'll LOSE your car. They'll take it and you won't get it back - EVER. Plus your license will be suspended for an additional six months plus additional fines. Is it worth it?

Don't think that it could never happen to you. Every single person who gets busted for DUI the first time thought it would never happen to them, because that's the sort of thing that happens only to OTHER people - not you. But they were wrong, and there lives were turned upside down, and it cost them a fortune.

Comrades, enjoy your holiday. But enjoy it responsibly. If you can't resist drinking too much, at least do it at home, or have a designated driver.

BTW, as to Wednesday's post, I know I said, "Thanksgiving is two days away." My bad. But in my defense, I posted that on Tuesday, when it really was two days away.

Also, as to Monday's post. It seems that the topic was EXACTLY the same as Chairman Suhayda's ANP report. This was pure coincidence. The chairman wrote his report on Sunday, as did I. We had no idea what the other was going to write about. Well, as they say, great minds think alike - or in this case - pissed off minds think alike! LOL

  1. Just being nit-picky as I know we all strive for perfection: $300 plus $200 times four equals $1,100, not $1,300. (Sorry) :o)

My bad. Thanks. But in my own defense, math was my worst subject. That's one of the reasons why I majored in English. At the time, a major in English required no math classes at all.
