If An Eighteen-Year-Old Can Do It, So Can We

AREDALE, IOWA - Eighteen-year-old Jeremy Minnier is in his high school band. He writes for the school newspaper. He is also mayor-elect of his hometown.

Unofficial results from the Butler County elections office show the senior at Hampton Dumont High School won the3 election by a narrow margin.

Incumbent mayor Virgil Homer says he's glad.

He said, "I only ran last time because no one else would."

Comrades, I'll admit that Aredale is a very small town. But how many of you live in small towns? One of us running for mayor of a large city like New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago is unrealistic. Even a medium sized city like San Bernardino is not practical at the present time. But there are a lot of small towns out there where it is realistic - especially if you can run under-the-radar.

How do you get started? First, check your county registrar of voters office for any age requirements. They vary from state-to-state, and county-to-county so you'll have to check your local office.

Most cities and towns have their own websites. Go to your town's, and find the registrar's page. Then check for all necessary requirements.

Next step, is to contact the ANP's Political Advisory Board, and we'll help you every step of the way. All you have to do is email HQ. Email addresses can be found on the main site.

In small towns, expensive campaigns are unnecessary. Some signs put up in and around your town and some fliers will do the job nicely. Don't be put off by the thought of home made signs.

In a small town, that's not cheesy. It shows everyone that you're one of THEM, rather than some local rich guy who acts as though he's the Lord Of The Manor.

And as I've said before, most of these offices are PAYING positions. How much depends on where you live. If it doesn't pay a living wage, then that means your town is so small, it would only require a few hours a week to perform your duties, so you could keep your regular job. Your elected office pay would be a little extra. It may even come with a nice pension. The more terms you serve, the higher the amount. And it's collectible as soon as you leave office, not at 65. Yes I know, you should never begin a paragraph with the word "and". Sue me.lol

When I ran for school board, I received 18% of the vote in 20% White area. If it was a White majority area I have no doubt that I would have won.

Comrades, we can win. But someone has to have the balls to run first. How about you? Our time has come again. Are we going to seize the day, or say, "Ah, I'll run next time."
